Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture responsible for Crops Development and Food Security, Dr. Hussein Mohamed Omar on 22nd November 2024 participated as a Guest of Honour at the Business Event hosted by the Norwegian Ambassador in Tanzania, H.E. Tone Tinnes at her residence in Dar es Salaam.

The event aimed at exploring opportunities of digitalisation of cooperative societies and SACCOS through WAKANDI, a Norwegian company that provides digital financial services to cooperative societies and Microfinance institutions.
