THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE                             Invitation for Tender     Tender No. ME 012/2019-2020/HQ/G/18   for   Supply of Agricultural Chemicals   12th September, 2019 This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) which appeared in Daily News dated 20th August, 2019.   The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Ministry of Agriculture during the financial year 2019/2020. It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Supply of Agricultural Chemicals.   The Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed tenders from eligible Suppliers for carrying out the Supply of the following items:   Lot No. Description of Item Quantity 1. Fenthion 60% ULV 10,000 Litres 2. Fenitrothion 96% ULV 3,000 Litres 3. Profenofos 72% EC 100,000 Litres   The Bidder may bid for any single lot or all lots. In each case, the bidder must quote for all quantities specified in each lot. Bids for incomplete lot will be considered non-responsive and rejected.   Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 which read as one with Public Procurement Regulations, 2016 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the said Regulations. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the tendering documents at the office of the Tender Board Secretary, located at University of Dodoma, School of Humanities, Block 10, Ground Floor, Room No. I 121.from 7:30am to 3:30pm on Monday to Friday except on public holidays.   A complete set of tendering documents in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tshs. 100,000.00 (Tanzanian Shillings One Hundred Thousand). Payment should be by Government Electronic Payment Gateway (GEPG) payable to The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, P. O. 2182, Dodoma. All tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security in a form bank guarantee or certified banker's cheque in the amount of shs. 50,000,000.   All tenders in one original plus two copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address Tender Board Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, University of Dodoma, School of Humanities, Block 9, Ground Floor, Room No. I 121.at or before 10:00am on Thursday, 26th September, 2019. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the University of Dodoma, School of Humanities, Block 9, Ground Floor, Room No. I 121.   Late tenders, portion of tenders, tenders not received, tenders not opened, and not readout in public at the tender open ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.     PERMANENT SECRETARY MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE
